Meet the Farmer

Sicada Sloan

I'm a first generation farmer. I founded ReRooted in 2026 after 7 years of working and volunteering on various farms, including farmhanding at the Stanford Educational Farm and completing the Farmer-in-REZidence program. I also received my B.S. and M.S. in Earth Systems with a focus on sustainable agriculture and food systems. My life experiences, studies, and work have all led me to ReRooted as a way to deepen my connection to the Earth, my family and ancestors, and my community.
